Go Cowboys!
I'm not going to lie, I was getting pretty nervous during the first half of the Oklahoma State (3-0, 1-0 Big 12) game against the Texas A&M Aggies (3-1, 0-1 Big 12).
However, I had a big sigh of relief when the 2nd half rolled around and the Cowboys found finally their rhythm. After their opening drive ended in a OSU touchdown, they ran the table earning 28 unanswered points.
And back to nervousness I went, with the Aggies rallying to tie the score at 35 all.
Back to relief (more like freaking out in excitement) with Jerrod Johnson's fourth interception of the game with under a minute left to play. The Cowboys get the ball in field goal range with 2 second left on the clock and... IT'S GOOD!
Kendall Hunter had a good game with 22 carries and 101 yards and 2TD.
Brandon Weeden finally settled down and had a good game himself, throwing for 284 yards and 2TD.
Justin Blackmon continues his "I'm legit" campaign with 10 catches for 127 yards and a TD. Blackmon has over 100 receiving yards in every game so far this season.
MVP of this game? Sorry, it has to go to Jerrod Johnson, but not for his 409 pass yards and 5 TD, but for his 4 interceptions and 1 lost fumble. If it weren't for Johnson's turnovers, I don't think the 'boys would have squeezed this one out.
So congrats Jerrod Johnson for being OUR MVP... this week.
Future predictions against Louisiana-Lafayette: Kendall Hunter has a huge game with over 200 rush yards and at least 3 TD. I expect it to be a showcase of power that OSU's offense possesses for future Big 12 opponents to take note. Beware, the Sea of Orange is coming...
