Kurt Budke, Miranda Serna, 2 Others Killed in Plane Crash in Arkansas
I hate typing "2 others" as though they don't matter, but truthfully I don't know who they are yet.
Women's Head Basketball Coach Kurt Budke and assistant Miranda Serna were on their way back from a recruiting trip last night when their plane went down in Arkansas. All on board were killed.
This really isn't our specialty, so I will just offer this space to leave your thoughts and send well wishes, prayers, etc to the families, friends, players, teamates, colleagues, supporters, and all of those affected by this tragedy (all of us included).
Sad day for the Cowboy Family.

Sad day for the entrie Cowboy family
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of the victims. For something like this to happen once to a university, is devastating, but for it to happen twice to the same university is tragic.
Such a tragedy
Thoughts and prayers with the families.
Terrible..
It’s sad that things like this happen to make us put sports and our lives in perspective. Riding high with OSU’s unprecedented success in football and women’s soccer. Then this… My prayers to the families of those lost and to the young women of the bball team. It’s a sad day.

Condolences from the WRNL Crew
I can only hope that kicking our asses up and down the field for three hours tonight in front of a crystal football can provide some comfort and distraction to those who need it most.
I’m assuming at least one of the “other two” was probably the pilot?

Completely terrible, sad, sad day...
I am obviously not an OSU fan, but I am a women’s college basketball fan. What Budke did with a dying program was quite amazing and I always admired his coaching acument, as well as his noticable regard for his own players and the OSU program. OSU lost a classy, classy coach today, and its a darn shame. Our prayers are with the Cowboys and the families of those lost today. :-(
A word from Hokie nation
Puts everything into perspective. Hokie nation gives it’s condolences. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. OSU is on our minds. Meatgeek said it correctly. We are all Cowboys today. Love and support.
