The Cal Bears SB Nation site is doing a series on their greatest coaches ever. #2 is Pappy Waldorf who, for those who are under 90, coached Oklahoma A&M in the late 1920's and early 1930's. "In five years at Oklahoma A&M, Waldorf's record was 34-10-7. He won three conference championships, and never lost to arch-rival Oklahoma." This is a well done and extensive look at the life and coaching career of Waldorf, albeit with a strong Cal focus (obviously). Check it out.
