A Billion Reasons To Fill Out A Bracket This Year

Eccentric sports fan, and billionaire, Warren Buffet will give you 1 billion dollars if you can fill out a perfect bracket in this year's NCAA Tournament.

If you haven't already heard, there is a billion dollars up for grabs. Yes, billion with a "B". All you have to do to get it is fill out a perfect March Madness bracket.

Quicken Loans is sponsoring the Contest, but it's Warren Buffet's wallet on the line. I don't know for sure, but I'm going to assume this is the largest cash prize offered in the history of the world.

You won't win, but it's free so why not?

Enter the Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge

In case your wondering, there are 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 possible bracket outcomes. Wow, but it's a billion freaking dollars, Buffet wasn't going to make it easy.

It is worth noting that Jeffrey Bergen, a math professor, somehow figured out that if you're familiar with college basketball your odds improve considerably. All the way up to 1 in 128 billion. To put it into perspective, your odds at winning the Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 175 million.

Warren Buffet surmised about someone going into the championship game with their bracket in tact, "I think they should put us on a split-screen TV. And on every shot, every free throw, they’d show us, and one of us won’t be happy."

This depresses me, because it means he daydreams about losing money, like I daydream about winning the lottery, and that's sad.

If you won, but you won't, what would you do with the money?
