Herschel Sims on "World of Jenks"

Oklahoma State Running Back commit Herschel Sims appeared on Monday nights season finale of MTV's "World of Jenks" and if you haven't seen it, please make it a priority to do so. I will say that it was one of the most inspiring things I've seen on TV in a long time. For those that are unfamiliar with the show, it's the brainchild of filmmaker Andrew Jenks. Each week, he follows someone and attempts to show what it's like living in their shoes.

In Sims case, the story isn't about what a great football player he is - that would be easy. It's about a kid living life in high school without any parents.

Both Sims parents were imprisoned for child abuse. His father was the main culprit and his mother allowed it to happen. Throughout the program, Sims shows no resentment and often tells Jenks that he just wants to see his mom get out so that he can have her back. I won't spoil the rest. Just watch it.

I will say that you'll see a truly remarkable person that has made a choice to be a Cowboy. Oh, and he wears Oklahoma State gear throughout the entire show...

Welcome to the Cowboy family Herschel.
