Robert Griffin III
RG3 is averaging is averaging more than 500 yards per game which is good for fifth in the nation. The 6-foot-2, 220 pound QB has thrown for 2,373 yards and 18 touchdowns, including 10 TD passes of 40 yards or longer. He's also rushed for 384 yards and five scores. Now, all that being said - he's done most of that against the likes of Sam Houston State, Buffalo, Rice, Kansas and Kansas State. The Bears managed only 10 points against TCU where Griffin finished with just 164 passing yards. There's no doubt he's an elite quarterback, but can he be elite on the road in a big game against a defense that is better than Kansas State?
Kendall Hunter
Ed Wesley of TCU racked up 165 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Bears. Daniel Thomas had 113 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rodney Stewart at Colorado at 125 yards and 2 touchdowns.Texas Tech had 149 yards and 2 touchdowns...Notice a trend here? Hunter should have his way with the Bears defense and if we can run the ball - and the clock - RG3 stays on the sideline...
Jay Finley
Finley has 500 + yards and 5 touchdowns in his last 3 games. That's 200 more yards than he had in the first 6 games. It's definitely given the Baylor offense another wrinkle. You can just focus on stopping RG3 because you've got to worry about Finley as well. Texas got caught focusing a little too much on RG3 and Finley burned them for a 69 yard TD. The Cowboys will have their hands full.
The Oklahoma State Defense
Which defense will we see Saturday? The one that played very well in Lubbock and Manhattan or the one that looked lost against Nebraska? There's no question that this Baylor offense is good, but it's nothing that a little solid defense can't contain. If we can contain RG3 and force a few turnovers, our offense will handle the rest. Get into shootout and it becomes a little harder.
