Alabama versus Oklahoma State: The All-College Classic

After a week's rest, OSU hits the floor again tonight against Alabama in the All-College Classic in Oklahoma City. The game is at 5:30 on ESPN2. Alabama has had a slow start this year (currently 5-5) but plays the type of defense that has been problematic for OSU earlier this season and in the past. The Crimson Tide currently ranks 19th in the country in steals. They are going to press the Cowboys all game long so it will definitely take discipline and good decision making for the Pokes to win this game.

Alabama is led by forward JaMychal Green who leads the team in scoring (13.8 per game) and rebounding (7.3 per game). This isn't a team that is going to outscore an opponent. While they aren't as talented offensively, they are extremely athletic and will try to ugly up the game by causing turnovers so that it works to their advantage. Marshall Moses and the front court company will have their hands full as Green and their bigs will be constantly poking and grabbing at the ball.

Guard Senario Hillman and forward Tony Mitchell lead the team in steals at 21 and 16 respectively. If OSU can get past the press and into their halfcourt sets they shouldn't have much trouble picking up the win. However, if Alabama is able to force Ray Penn and Keiton Page into committing multiple turnovers, this game can get ugly and become a low scoring grudge match.
