Oklahoma State recruiting: 2015 OL Christian Gaylord breaks down offer

Oklahoma State recently offered class of 2015 offensive lineman Christian Gaylord. See what the three star prospect had to say about having the chance to play for Mike Gundy and staff.

On October 19th, Oklahoma State had a few recruits on hand to watch the 24-10 Cowboy victory over the Horned Frogs of TCU. One of the talented prospects in Stillwater that weekend was 2015 offensive lineman Christian Gaylord. "I have been in contact with the OSU offensive line grad assistant. He said the staff really liked my film and when I called the offensive line coach, he invited me to the OSU game" Christian told Cowboys Ride For Free.

Even though watching a victory inside Boone Pickens Stadium could be a memorable experience in its own right, It might be what took place at the game that the three star ranked lineman will remember for a long time. "It was at the game that the offer was given to me". He said. "I am the first tackle to be offered in their 2015 class. It is a neat honor."

Gaylord, a Baldwin City, Kansas native is starting to watch his recruitment take off. The Cowboys are joined by Kansas State and most recently Kansas, as programs to offer a scholarship to the 6-6 270 pound Baldwin High junior. "It's hard to believe sometimes that all my hard work is paying off and people are noticing my abilities." He said of the recruiting process.

With well over a year left in his recruitment, Gaylord is nowhere close to making a college commitment but is well aware of what head coach Mike Gundy and staff are trying to build. "I would be honored to play at OSU but I'm taking the process slow since I'm only a junior. When I think of OSU football, I think of a high level program that has recently won the Big 12 and is competing for another Big 12 Championship this year."
