Turner is 6'11'' center who hails from Bedford, Texas. He is a consensus top 10 recruit and is the only top 10 player that remains undeclared. OSU will be his second official visit so far, as he has already visited tOSU.
Turner would be an absolute huge get for this program. He is very long and athletic, and his wingspan has been measured at 7'3''. Turner is well known for his shot-blocking ability, and with that wingspan, it's no wonder why. Not many players have his combination of size and athleticism. Turner also has the a pretty nice shot, making him a matchup nightmare for opposing coaches. The easy comparison would obviously be Anthony Davis. Davis, if you recall, led Kentucky to a National Championship in 2012.
If Turner were to commit here, he would join a class that already consists of four players. The class consists of four star center Mitch Solomon, four star small forward Joe Burton, Jeff Newberry, a JUCO point guard, and Jared Terrell, a four star shooting guard who has committed but not yet signed his LOI.
Turner is also considering Kansas, Texas, Duke, Ohio State, and Kentucky.
