Many future Pokes are in the home stretch of the regular season with playoffs just around the corner:
DE Cole Walterscheid put up monster stats on Friday night, with 2 pass break ups, 1 interception, and a blocked punt. Walterscheid also finished with 4 total tackles including 2 sacks. Cole put in very efficient game on the offensive end as well, recording 3 catches (all for touchdowns) and 97 yards. Muenster stayed undefeated in a 49-12 win over Petrolia.
QB Mason Rudolph had yet another impressive outing Friday night, leading Northwestern to a 63-18 win over Nation Ford. Rudolph went 24 for 37 for 365 yards passing. He connected on 4 touchdown passes and rushing for another two. The win keeps Northwestern's perfect season in tact.
WR Chris Lacy recorded 7 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown as Desoto took down Grand Prairie 67-7. Lacy led all Desoto receivers once again.
WR Keenen Brown and CB Chris Hardeman helped Alief Taylor cruise to an easy 47-14 win. Brown finished with 4 catches for 118 yards, and 2 long touchdowns of 60 and 52 yards.
RB Devon Thomas eclipsed the 100 yard mark on the night, rushing for 101 yards on 14 carries. LB Gyasi Akem and the Broken Arrow defense shut down the Sapulpa offense in a 42-7 victory.
P Zach Sinor had 5 punts on the night, averaging just under 43 yards. Medina Valley beat San Antonio Memorial 35-7.
OL Lemaefe Galea'i and the offensive line of Euless Trinity turned in another impressive performance, racking up 373 total rushing yards. Trinity beat Irving 42-7.
DE Jordan Brailford was all over the field against Union, however Booker T struggled in a 49-23 losing effort.
ATH Ramon Richards left the field early in the game, as it appeared he suffered a concussion. Richards never re-entered, but Brackenridge was able to defeat Lanier 23-14. Be sure to check out Graham Coffelt's film study on Richards this week.
CB Juwan Offray and DT Joyan Willimans helped Karr win going away against McDonogh 34-16.
LB Justin Phillips and Pearland suffered a 42-7 defeat against Manvel. The loss was the first of the season for Pearland.
CB Dylan Harding hauled in a 46 yard touchdown reception for Jenks, setting up a score in the 2nd quarter. Jenks defeated Bixby 45-7.
