D'Nerius Antoine has flown well under the radar of most recruiting services. His vitals though, show promise that he may have the size to become a productive safety in the Big 12. Standing at 6'1'' and weighing 205 pounds, Antoine is as large as any safety currently on the Oklahoma State roster. Antoine is originally from New Iberia (Westgate HS), Louisiana where he played football, basketball, and track. While at Trinity Valley C.C., Antoine has continued to be a dual-sport athlete, playing both football and basketball for the Cardinals. Antoine was a first-team SWJCFC all-conference selection this season.
Antoine played four different postions while in high school, while playing on both sides of the ball at quarterback, wide receiver, running back and safety. His versatility is something to look out for. He could potentially be a kick returner for the Cowboys in the future bringing in three punt return touchdowns this season alone for Trinity Valley.
This is commitment number 25 for the Cowboys which should wind things up for the top-25-rated 2014 recruiting class.
Check back later to Cowboys Ride For Free as we further analyze Antoine and his commitment.
