Cowboys Receiving All-Big 12 Honors
PARKER GRAHAM - OL
Parker is the only Cowboy that made the 1st Team All-Big 12 on offense. Since becoming a starter in 2011 the Senior has been dominant in the trenches, and a big part of OSU's prolific offense. Parker started 5 games at Left Tackle, and 7 games at Right Guard. The Webb City, MO native is a leader on and off the field, twice receiving Academic All-Big 12 honors.
CALVIN BARNETT - DL
Calvin is one of three Oklahoma State players that made the 1st Team All-Big 12 on defense. This is the second year in a row for him to receive the honor. After transferring to OSU, Calvin also took home the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year in 2012. As a Senior, Calvin has recorded 26 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, 5 QB hurries, and a forced fumble. Glenn Spencer will have his work cut out for him replacing the early round NFL Draft prospect.
SHAUN LEWIS - LB
Shaun has been a force to be reckoned with all season, and it comes as no surprise he is receiving 1st Team All-Big 12 honors. The Senior's stat sheet is outstanding. He has chalked up 52 solo tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 picks this season. The Cowboys have the 14th ranked scoring defense, and Shaun is a big reason why.
JUSTIN GILBERT - DB
Justin has been back with the vengeance in 2013 earning a spot on the 1st Team defense. He put receivers on Gilbert island all year with 6 interceptions, two returned for a TD, 7 passes broken up, and 40 tackles. His dominate play even spawned the hashtag #Gilbertized. Don't know what that means? Just ask Mack Brown.
CLINT CHELF - QB
After early season QB controversy, Clint Chelf put together one of the best late season performances in Oklahoma State history, earning himself a spot on the All-Big 12 2nd Team. In the regular season Choo Choo Chelf racked up 1,792 yard passing, 321 yards rushing, and 21 total touchdowns, while only starting 7 games. His best games came against some of OSU's toughest competition. Clint displayed getting away from the cops speed with a 67 yard TD run against Texas Tech, and blistered Baylor by completing 19 of 25 passes for 370 yards, and 3 TD's.
KYE STALEY - FB
Baylor is still suffering from nightmares about the Guthrie Gasher. Kye Staley bruised and battered the Bears defensive averaging 3.57 yards per carry and two TD's on his way to the All-Big 12 2nd team. This is Kye's second time to receive the honor.
JOSH STEWART - WR & KR/PR
Stewart received two All-Big 12 honors, because he is just that good! As a Wide Receiver Stewart is difficult to match-up with and is leading the team with 52 catches for 623 yards and 2 TD's. As a returner Stewart has been lethal. He is averaging 24 return yards per kick, 18.2 yards per punt, and 2 TD's. Including his 95 yard return against TCU setting a Big 12 record.
TYLER JOHNSON - DL
Tyler has been a one man wrecking crew all season with 47 tackles, and leads the team with 3.5 sacks. His highlight of the season came against Iowa State when the Senior from Haskell, OK returned a fumble recovery 54 yards for a touchdown.
CALEB LAVEY - LB
The Defensive Player of the Year candidate received 2nd Team All-Big 12 honors. Caleb has been outstanding from the start this year, earning the Big-12 Defensive Player of the Week against Mississippi State. The Senior made it a habit to come up with big plays at key points in a game. Lavey recorded 4 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles, and has a knack for disrupting plays with 12.5 tackles for a loss. He was instrumental in a season where defense carried the team during offensive struggle, and led the team with 87 tackles. Caleb has also been a leader in the classroom and received Capitol One 2nd Team Academic All-American honors.
DAYTAWION LOWE - DB
Daytawion is Oklahoma State's second leading tackler with 80 stops, and earned a spot on the All-Big 12 2nd team. He has 3 picks on the season, a forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries. Lowe was paramount in the Baylor victory, and received Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance. In fact, he was clutch all year with his three best games coming against Texas Tech, Baylor, and OU.
