COLLEGE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK: Game times, TV schedules, and more

Despite what most of us involved in Bedlam think, there are other meaningful football games on TV this weekend.

Besides Bedlam, Texas at Baylor (3:30pm, FOX) will either decide who is the co-champion, or who is the outright champion and BCS rep (should OU pull off the upset...I like saying that) for the Big 12.

The battle for the SEC title between Missouri and Auburn (4pm, CBS) will be worth watching, and many a Big 12 fan will be curious to see if a team that couldn't get it done in the Big 12 can manage to win the championship of the "toughest football conference" in America. The winner of this game likely gets into the BCS championship game should Ohio State lose, or look really bad in a win.

There could be some channel changing going on during these games, at least until Baylor puts Bevo and Mack out of their misery...probably...

Stanford at Arizona State (7:45pm, ESPN) for the Pac 12 title should be a good show. However, Duke vs Florida State (8pm, ABC) in the ACC championship game should NOT be a good show. Doubt we will need to do much channel flipping here.

The last marquee matchup pits Ohio State against Michigan State (8:17pm, FOX) for the Big 10 title (yawn). The Buckeyes will be trying to reserve their spot opposite Florida State for the last BCS championship.

That felt SOOOOOO good to say....

Enjoy, everyone, and be safe!
