Oklahoma State Basketball Eyes Big 12 Title

"Thank you for bringing the rowdy back," Cowboys coach Travis Ford said, taking the arena microphone to address fans. "This is what Gallagher-Iba is supposed to look like."

The packed house of 13,611 definitely got their money's worth yesterday in the third straight thriller at home. Oklahoma State trailed by 5 points with 3 minutes to go but a series of clutch plays lifted the Cowboys to their seventh straight Big 12 victory and solidified their spot at the top of the Big 12.

The Cowboys will be back to work today in prep for a meeting with Kansas on Wednesday night.

"We're going to be ready," said head coach Travis Ford. "And make no mistake, Kansas is going to be ready."They're going to show video of us winning at their place and everything, but when it's all said and done, when that ball is thrown up, both teams have to play."

It's amazing to think this but a win on Wednesday will put Oklahoma State in the drivers seat of the Big 12 conference with five games left. Let that marinate for a bit. If the Cowboys were to win the Big 12 title they would have an extremely impressive resume heading in to the NCAA Tournament. That's about as exciting as it gets. One game at a time...
