Oklahoma State Bracketology

Oklahoma State will dust off their dancing shoes over the next week as they compete in the Big 12 tournament and prepare for the Big Dance. How high might they be seeded and where will they land?

Reese Strickland-USA TODAY Sports

Overall Record: 23-7

Big XII Record: 13-5

RPI: 25

SOS: 46 (Source)

Signature Wins (RPI 1-30): NC State, Kansas, Kansas State

Quality Wins (RPI 31-100): Iowa State, Oklahoma, Akron, Tennessee, Baylor

Bad Losses (RPI 100 or Greater): Virginia Tech

The Bracket Project, which is a site that aggregates every bracket projection under the sun, has Oklahoma State listed as a 4 or 5 seed. Jerry Palm has Oklahoma State as a 5 seed in the East Region with Duke. But there's still a little thing called the Big 12 tournament that has to happen before anything is finalized.

Big 12 Tournament Schedule

G1 3/13 WVU (#8) vs Tech (#9)

G2: 3/13 Texas (#7) vs TCU (#10)

G3: 3/14 Oklahoma (#4) vs IowaState (#5)

G4: 3/14 Kansas (#1) vs G1 winner

G5: 3/14 KansasState (#2) vs G2 winner

G6: 3/14 OklahomaState (#3) vs Baylor (#6)

G7: 3/15 G3 winner vs G4 winner

G8: 3/15 G5 winner vs G6 winner

G9: 3/16 G7 winner vs G8 winner

Whatever happens, Oklahoma State will be dancing and that is a beautiful thing. I'm not really sure that there will be much difference this year between a 2 seed and a 5 seed.

Will Baylor bring their tarp to Kansas City?
