The Big 12 is making an argument to be the Nation's top basketball conference.
Oklahoma State made the Top 10 in both polls. The Cowboys are 9th in the AP and 8th in the Coaches Poll, making OSU the highest ranked Big 12 team in the Coaches.
The national spotlight will be on Marcus Smart and crew when they travel to Lawrence on Saturday to take on the Kansas Jayhawks. A slow start saw Kansas tumble down the polls, but they appear to have worked out their issues. Solid wins over Kansas State and Oklahoma moved the Jayhawks up to 15th in the AP Poll and 18th in the Coaches Poll.
Iowa State suffered their first loss of the season in Norman, but were able to retain their position as the highest ranked Big 12 team in the AP at #8. With the big win, OU managed to sneak the last spot on the AP Poll, but was left out of the Coaches.
Baylor took a step back in both polls after a loss to Iowa State last week. They came in at #12 in the AP, and #13 in the Coaches.
