Oklahoma State Cowboys in the NFL - Week 4

Football is great. Football is even better when former Cowboys have great weeks in the NFL. If you're wondering who played well on Sunday then you're in the right place. Let's take a look at this weeks post of Cowboys in the NFL!

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Another week of NFL football is in the wraps! As the season goes on it seems like former Oklahoma State players are just getting better and better at the next level. Very impressive weeks from Dan Bailey and Dez Bryant, but is there a surprise week from another former Poke? Let's find out in this week's Cowboys in the NFL post!

Dan Bailey (Cowboys) - 29. That's how many consecutive field goals Bailey has made after he went 1-1 (51) this week in a win against the Saints. It really is incredible to see just how great Bailey has been for Dallas over the past few years. The former Poke has established himself as one of the best kickers in the NFL.

Dez Bryant (Cowboys) - Another good week for one of the best receivers in football. Bryant had three catches for 44 yards and a TD this week against the Saints. Who dat?...

Perrish Cox (49ers) - HAVE YOURSELF A DAY PERRISH! The former Cowboy standout had a hell of a week against the Eagles. He had three tackles, two pass deflections, and one game clinching interception. Cox is quickly becoming a standout in a thin San Francisco secondary.

Charlie Johnson (Vikings) - Johnson started again for Minnesota and was tasked with protecting rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater. Johnson played well enough to get a win but his rookie quarterback left the game with an ankle injury late in the game.

Brandon Pettigrew (Lions) - Pettigrew just doesn't have it this year. He caught two passes for 19 yards and no TD's this week bringing his season grand total to three catches on the season. After fantastic seasons in the past it appears that Pettigrew just isn't the same this season.

Joseph Randle (Cowboys) - In Sunday night's massacre of the Saints, the Dallas Cowboys had no trouble running the football. Joe Randle had 4 carries for 22 yards in Dallas. He has seen limited touches this season but has made the most of what he's gotten.

Antonio Smith (Raiders) - After mustering just one tackle en route to a 24 point loss to the Miami Dolphins, Smith made some controversial comments about head coach (former?) Dennis Allen. After an 0-4 start Smith said in regards to the team maybe firing Allen,

"I ain't never seen it work out for good and I ain't in the business of just chalking the season up for a loss and just accepting being a loser the rest of the year".

So that's what Smith is up to.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PERRISH COX

If you didn't get a chance to watch the 49ers - Eagles game then you really did miss out on a fun one. Cox was brilliant all afternoon against a talented Eagles receiving group. He didn't get beat once and as I mentioned above had a game clinching INT.
