Oklahoma State Falls Out of the Rankings

The Big 12 got shaken up this past weekend, which saw ranked teams Baylor, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma all go down, while Kansas State, West Virginia and TCU prevailed. But where do these teams rank in the new AP and Coaches poll?

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Mississippi State was idle this week, but remains atop the new polls. There was plenty of action behind them as Florida State squeaked by Notre Dame, Baylor lost to West Virginia, TCU stomped Oklahoma State, and Kansas State now leads the Big 12... What's going on?

The Wildcats went on the road and Beat OU in Norman. Special Teams mishaps defined the day for the Sooners. OU Kicker Michael Hunnicutt had two missed field goals, and a point after attempt blocked which ended up deciding the game. K-State QB Jake Waters played great throwing for 225 yards, 2TD's, and no interceptions in the enormous win.

Purple really was the theme of the day, as TCU downed Oklahoma State 42-9. TCU poured it on early, jumping out to a 21-3 lead and OSU couldn't recover. I would put some stats here, but they are NSFW. If your boss came by there won't be blood and guts all over your screen. You're Welcome. Seriously though, TCU is for real and OSU has a lot to fix moving forward.

West Virginia shocked Baylor this week, 41-27. The Mountaineers finished with 14 unanswered points, and looked really good in the win. Clint Trickett threw for 322 yards, 3TDs, and 1 INT. The riot gear came out in Morgantown to protect the coaches all around the state. In all seriousness though, those 11:00 AM kicks in Morgantown are deadly. It's THE place for an upset to occur.
