So Mississippi State didn't play. Florida State did, and beat a top 5 team with huge name recognition in a dramatic finish. The Bulldogs jumped the Seminoles. I guess voters didn't like the PI penalty against the Irish.

Missouri State Bears (FCS)

Record: 4-3 (MVFC, 1-2)

Comments:

The Bears righted the ship with an easy win. This weekend could be really rough, as they travel to take on undefeated (6-0) Illinois State, who beat South Dakota State 45-10, who beat Missouri State 32-28.

UTSA (University of Texas at San Antonio) Roadrunners

Record: 2-5 (Conf USA - West, 1-2)

Result: L, 27-20

Comments:

After taking a 10-3 lead, the Roadrunners gave up 24 unanswered points, including 21 in the 3rd quarter. This season has taken a drastically different turn for Coker's bunch.

I'll admit, that was a tough way to lose. You've got OU coming to town after a loss, so they won't be sleep walking. You've still got Nov 8 to look forward to, although it will be in Lawrence.

Mountaineers finally getting their due. This is a pretty darn good football team, and they're headed for Stillwater to play a Cowboys squad in search of a lot of answers on offense. This will be two games in a row against former assistants. It will likely be two butt whippings in a row.

KANSAS STATE WILDCATS

First in the Big 12, and Snyder has something figured out for his road games in Norman. Let's hope they aren't dozing when Texas comes calling, because I think Charlie might actually have things turning around a tiny bit for the Longhorns.
