The newest AP and Coaches polls are out today, and there were major shakeups all over the place. Florida State remains atop the polls, but we have some new members of the top 5. Mississippi State, Ole miss and Baylor all enter the top 5 in both polls, with Auburn checking in at number 2.
Things should get more interesting, as 4 undefeated teams play each other this coming week (Auburn @ Miss St, TCU @ Baylor).
It was a big week for the Big 12, as OU went down, TCU arrived, Baylor survived, and OSU continued to give all of us mixed feelings.
TCU defeated OU 37-33 in a thrilling home win. As soon as Trevor Knight's Hail Mary sailed out of the end zone and the fans rushed the field, one thing became clear. There are no cupcakes in the Big 12.
Baylor defeated Texas 28-7, in an unimpressive effort. Texas kept the game close throughout, but Baylor was just too good.
West Virginia easily dispatched Kansas in Morgantown, 33-14.
Kansas State ran and passed over Texas Tech, 45-14.
