GAMEDAY GAMETHREAD & COLLEGE TV SCHEDULE: Oklahoma State @ Kansas State

This is the game. If there is going to be anything different, a sense of urgency, an awareness that leads to adjustments, then we should see it here. If not...

Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

Aside from OSU's struggles, this is going to be a great November for Big 12 football.

TCU at West Virginia is huge. With a win, the Mountaineers would control their own destiny. They would be left with Baylor at one loss (they own that tiebreaker), and still have Kansas State to play. A win for the Purple Frogs leaves things a little more complicated, as they play Kansas State the following week, and memorably lost to Baylor.

You heard it hear first...with Kansas State tonight, the Cowboys are the most likely to upset the apple cart. They still have Baylor on the schedule, and if the coaches decide to dust off an actual offensive playbook, they possess the talent to pull off the upset. A loss to a team in the lower half of the conference will cost somebody the title, and the Cowboys are the only legit candidate.

Of these three teams, the remaining schedules are...

Kansas State...OSU, @TCU, @WV, Kansas, @Baylor
If anyone is going to survive this, it will be Snyder.

TCU...@WV, KState, @Kansas, @Texas, Iowa State
If they survive this week and next, they would still need somebody to beat Baylor.

Baylor...Kansas, @OU, OSU, Tech, @KState
That game against the Wildcats could be gargantuan.

The potential scenarios are virtually endless.

As for OSU, they have one game left on the schedule where they will be favored. They should be decent underdogs for the rest. Bowl eligibility has never been so close, yet so far away.

The schedule for today looks like this...all times Eastern...

Oklahoma @ Iowa State...Noon, FS1...who knows, but likely a snoozefest.
TCU @ West Virginia...3:30pm, ABC/ESPN2...the marquee matchup.
Kansas @ Baylor...4pm, FS1...definite snoozefest. Even the LHN would be too much exposure.
Texas @ Texas Tech...7:30pm, FS1...the Fox Sports contract with the Big 12 is getting dumped on today.
OSU @ Kansas State...8pm, ABC/ESPN3...thankfully, less than 25% of the country gets this live on ABC, so it won't be that bad if Snyder strips the Cowboys of any remaining dignity.

Outside of that, not too much else going on. Auburn @ Ole Miss could be decent. The Pac 12 has a couple of potentially entertaining games this evening.
