Matthew Mucha, 6-6 260 lb offensive tackle, has officially signed with Oklahoma State. Mucha held offers from Memphis, SMU, Texas Tech, UCF, and Utah.
During his senior season at Clear Lake High School, Mucha earned All-District Honors. He is currently listed as the #82 offensive tackle according to ESPN.
Here is the ESPN Evaluation on Mucha
Pass Protection
Effective in pass protection with the ability to set quickly and stay in front of active receivers. His reach and quick hands should be assets, but all aspects of footwork and hand use will need refinement. Flashes the ability to handle edge speed, but bend, slide, balance and posture must improve. Developing a strong initial punch is a priority, but we like his location and extension.
Run Blocking
Comes off the ball with a flat back and good pad level showing the initial quickness needed to protect his inside gap and block second level defenders effectively. Can gain an immediate advantage with his athleticism, but isn't yet able to consistently knock defenders back on their heels when drive blocking. More of a wall-off, position type of blocker at this time.
