Tyreek "The Freek" Hill Has Done it Again!

New, 1 comment

The 2014 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships wrapped up today, and for the third time this year, Tyreek Hill has set new records!

Today is Tyreek Hill's birthday, and he's celebrating by getting himself a couple Oklahoma State school records, and a Big 12 Championship!

Hill has broken the 60-meter dash school record for the thrid time this year.  In Tyreek's first race as a Cowboy he set the record at 6.67; breaking the record set by John Teeters. In his second race, he pushed the record time to 6.65.

Less than a month later Tyreek has done it again! He broke his own record.  He put down a blazing 6.64, and finished second in the 60-meter finals!  Only 0.005 of a second separated him from first place. That's ridiculous speed, and the 8th fastest time in the entire country!

I can't wait to see these 60-meter runs with turf under his feet and a football in his hands.

Tyreek also competed in the 200-meter dash, and continued to do incredible things, becoming the Big 12 200-Meter Champion.

Hill didn't just win, he destroyed event with a time of 20.81 seconds. Not only is it a school record, but it's the 2nd fastest time in the nation!

Tyreek, a consensus 4-star prospect, is a standout member of the 2014 recruiting class, and no one is more excitied to get him on the football field than Coach Gundy.
