Oklahoma State Recruiting: Wilson Commits to Pokes

2015 OL prospect, Johnny Wilson of Midland, Texas committed to Oklahoma State today after being offered only about an hour prior. This marks the second commitment for the 2015 class.

Johnny Wilson of Midland Christian is a 6'4'' 280 lbs. offensive line prospect. He is being recruited as a guard, but is currently playing offensive tackle in high school. Wilson has three offers, including the one that came today from Oklahoma State. The other two schools offering, include SMU and North Texas.

One of Wilson's top schools leading up to his commitment today was Texas. Wilson had attended the Longhorns Junior Day on Feb. 22 and was being recruited by former Oklahoma State offensive line coach, Joe Wickline. Wilson was on campus in Stillwater Monday on an unofficial visit with the Cowboys.

Wilson has taken home Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Division II District 1, All-District honors in Texas each season since 2012. Wilson has also been a part of two state championship teams while at Midland Christian. The Mustangs have been 27-1 while Wilson has been heading up their offensive line.
