MBB | Top 25 Polls - Post Season Rankings

We are just days away from March Madness, and the post season edition of the college basketball polls are out. Be sure to look over the rankings before filling out your brackets.

The post season rankings are out., and just in time to help you fill out your brackets.

Florida and Wichita State remain one and two, while Louisville has jumped up seven spots. Ranked 12th last week, they moved all the way up to 5th this week after winning the AAC Title. It's not often the 5th ranked team in the nation ends up as a 4-seed in the big dance. Don't let their seeding fool you, they're a very good basketball team.

SMU was the biggest loser of the week after three straight losses knocked them out of the Top 25, and even worse, from the NCAA Tournament.

The Big 12 has four teams in the rankings this week. Check out where they fell, and what their Tournament future looks like.

Iowa State

There's been a changing of the guard for the highest ranked Big 12 team. Iowa State won the Big 12 tournament, and it was enough to leapfrog the Jayhawks. The Cyclones are 9th in the country and were selected to a 3-seed in the East Region. They play 14-seed NC Central in their first game, and are expected to make a deep run in the Tournament. For more on the Cyclones check out Wide Right And Natty Light.

Kansas

Speaking of Kansas, they come in just one spot behind Iowa State at 10th. The Jayhawks are a 2-seed in the Tournament and face 15-seed Eastern Kentucky in the first round. They should make the Sweet Sixteen before they run into any speed bumps. An early exit would be a disaster for the program. Check out Rock Chalk Talk to get more on the Jayhawks.

Oklahoma

OU lost in the Big 12 Tournament Quarter Finals, but moved up in the polls. The Sooners enter the NCAA Tournament ranked 21st in the country, and are a 5-seed in the West Region. The same region as Oklahoma State. The Sweet Sixteen could be bedlam! Check out Crimson and Cream Machine for the latest on the Sooners.

Baylor

Baylor may have fallen to ISU in the Big 12 Championship, but it was enough to break into the rankings at the 23rd spot. The Bears are also in the West Region as a 6-seed. They will see 11-seed Nebraska in the the first round. A possible rematch with the Pokes wouldn't be possible until the Elite Eight. Read more about the Bears over at Our Daily Bears.

Outside Looking In

Texas is the only other Big 12 team to receive votes this week. The Longhorns are a 7-seed in the Midwest Region. They have 10-seed Arizona State up first. If Texas makes it to the next round they would most likely face a good Michigan team. Burnt Orange Nation and Barking Carnival have the latest on the Longhorns.
