The Cowboys streak to the top of the standings has been largely due to their offense.
After scoring just 1 run in those first 3 losses and only posting more than 3 runs twice in their first 7 conference games, the bats came alive. OSU's 5-3 win over Kansas yesterday were the fewest runs scored by the Cowboys since a 3-1 win over Texas Tech on April 4th. Fish and Green are leading the way for OSU as the only players batting over .300 with over 100 plate appearances. Fish's slugging % is north of .500.
Pitching is not to be ignored, however, as Coach Holliday's staff has only given up more than 4 runs once in conference play, and has held opponents to 1 run or less 5 times. Six Cowboy pitchers currently carry an ERA of 2.25 or less, and closer Brendan McCurry has 10 saves on the season with an ERA or 0.30.
After losing their opening Big 12 series to Baylor, OSU has won the next 4.

The Cowboys finish up their current set with Kansas today at 1pm Central in Stillwater. The game will be carried on Fox Sports 1 (FS1). OSU then takes on Oral Roberts Tuesday in Tulsa before resuming Big 12 play Friday in Austin against the Longhorns.
