Justin Gilbert wasn't the only Oklahoma State star signing contracts this week. Markel Brown has signed his rookie contract with the Brooklyn Nets.
The #Nets have signed guard @iMarkelBrown22 and forward @CoryJay34 to multi-year contracts, GM @bkdefend announced: http://t.co/5PXxOOzT3T

The contract is reportedly a 2-year deal for a little more than $1.3 million with $500k guaranteed.
During Browns time in Stillwater he exemplified what it means to be a Cowboy. During his 134 games at Oklahoma State, he became the only Poke in school history to record 300 assists, 100 blocks, and 100 steals. I will miss seeing him dress in orange and black, but I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of him on ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10.
Since being drafted Markel has been spending time playing in the summer league, where he has provided consistent production. Transitioning his game for the next level will be a challenge, but his future looks bright in Brooklyn.
