Kolar, tabbed at 6-4 185 lbs, took over for the injured David Cornwell midway through the 2013 season, and performed at a high level. Leading Norman North to the 6A-3 District Title as a starter, Kolar began to draw attention nationally. In May, he attended the annual Elite 11 camp, drew high praise for his performance despite limited game experience.

The 2015 class is already shaping up to be special. Ronald Jones II (#5 RB and 58th overall) and Jaylon Lane (#7 CB and 79th overall) join Kolar in the ESPN300 rankings.
