Former Oklahoma State standout, Marcus Smart, took to Twitter to announce he would be throwing out the first pitch of last nights Boston Red Sox game.

When Smart was first approached to throw out the first pitch he was shocked.
"I was a little bit nervous," Smart told Jessica Camerato with Boston.com "I was like, 'Are you sure you got the right person? This is a big deal. Are you sure you want me to do it?' They said, 'Yeah we're positive, it's you.'"
Smart has continued to impress coaches and others since arriving in Boston. He's worked hard in the Summer league to improve his game, but the whirlwind of preparing for his NBA rookie season didn't phase him on the pitcher's mound. There was no 50 cent disaster for Smart.
