In a shock to no one, the Oklahoma State Cowboys' first opponent of the season and defending National Champions, Florida State, tops the Associated Press Pre-Season Top 25 Poll.
Notre Dame is the only team outside of the power conferences that managed to crack the list. It's the first time since 1999 that a team in a non-power, or non-AQ, conference hasn't cracked the rankings.
It's also the first time since 2010 that less than four Big 12 members have made the poll. Oklahoma checks in at the fourth, and leads the conference pack. At tenth, Baylor barely slipped into the top 10, and Kansas State rounds out the conference, ranked 20th.
Texas, Oklahoma State, TCU, and Texas Tech also received votes. If the poll was extended out the Longhorns would be ranked 28th, the Cowboys 33rd, the Horned Frogs 35th, and the Red Raiders 38th.
