The Orange Report is a weekly podcast dedicated to covering the Texas Longhorns, but last night they branched out to preview a little bit of the Big 12.
The first guest of the evening was Curtis Kitchen with Bring On The Cats, SB Nation's Kansas State Blog. Mike and Curtis discuss how the season is looking for the EMAW faithful. They talk about Bill snyder, the schedule, some promising new talent, and returning leaders like Tyler Lockett. The guy that never seems to run out of eligibility,
CRFF's, Robert Whetsell, comes on next at the 35:20 mark. It didn't take long for Mike to bring up the elephant in the room - offensive line guru, Joe Wickline, bolting from the Pokes to go coach under Charlie Strong in Austin.
"Damn you." Robert jockingly replied. "He was one of those coaches that always figured out a way to make it work."
Speaking of Charlie Strong, the two discuss what to expect out of the new head coach, and just how much time he'll have to turn the Longhorn program around.
Robert also provides some insight to the challenges of the Pokes schedule, his three biggest concerns, and more.
