The second week of the professional football season is in the wraps. The league office was surely glad to have some actual football this weekend after dominating the headlines for all the wrong reasons during the week. The NFL is one crazy league. The Bills, Cardinals and Panthers are all leading their divisions heading into week three. Johnny Football has officially played in a regular season NFL game. But most important, it was a great weekend for many former OSU standouts on the gridiron. Let's just dive right in and take a look at who did what and who I think is this week's player of the week.
Dan Bailey (Cowboys) - Dan Bailey might be the best player on the Cowboys team this year. The former Poke hit four field goals all from 40+ yards.
Justin Blackmon (Jaguars) - DNP (suspended)
Dez Bryant (Cowboys) - Bryant returned to last season's form this week against Tennessee. The former (and current) Cowboy pulled in ten catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. Oh, and there's this...

Perrish Cox (49ers) - Cox wasn't nearly as effective this week as last. That being said, Cox ended the game with two tackles in a loss to Chicago.
Justin Gilbert (Browns) - Gilbert was playing well against a powerful Saints offense. He was instrumental in slowing down the NOLA passing attack until he took a knee to the head and left the game. He was eventually cleared to return and isn't expected to miss time.
Corey Hilliard (Lions) - Bad news out of Detroit. According to the Detroit Free Press Hilliard is going to miss the entire season with a foot injury sustained in week one. His injury means a potential big change for another former Cowboy.
Kendall Hunter (49ers) - DNP (injury)
Charlie Johnson (Vikings) - Johnson struggled against a vicious Patriot front seven in a Viking loss.
Orie Lemon (Cowboys) - DNP (still has the best name on the list).
Russell Okung (Seahawks) - Okung started his 47th game for Seattle this week. He continues to be the constant force for Seattle in the trenches. Despite getting embarrassed by San Diego, Okung played well.
Tyler Patmon (Cowboys) - This is the best story on this list. During the summer it sounded like Patmon would be one of the first cuts from the roster. Not only did he make the roster, but he played a little bit in a Cowboys victory over the Titans this weekend.
Brandon Pettigrew (Lions) - Just a quick reminder that Pettigrew is a TE. Due to basically every Lion getting hurt this week they almost had to plug the former Cowboy great in a RT. He never played a snap on the line and only played TE this week but caught no passes.
Joe Randle (Cowboys) - After not seeing the field last week Randle had three carries for 26 yards in a Cowboy win.
Antonio Smith (Raiders) - After a dominant week one the Texans were able to keep Smith quiet this week.
Josh Stewart (Titans) - DNP (injury)
Lane Taylor (Packers) - DNP (coach's decision)
Brandon Weeden (Cowboys) - DNP (coach's decision)
Kevin Williams (Seahawks) - Williams had two tackles in a 9 point loss.
