McKinney North blew out Richardson Pearce Friday night, thanks to the incredible performance by Ronald Jones II. Up until this week, Jones had only rushed for 191 yards due to defenses selling out to stop the run against McKinney North. But in the first half, Jones ran wild for 270 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Nacogdoches won 34-14 over Carthage, thanks mostly to the dominate performance by the defense. With Carthage driving late in the first half with the score still close, Nacogdoches intercepted a pass in the end-zone. Carthage then successfully attempted an onside kick to start the 2nd half, but the defense for Nacogdoches came through again forcing a fumble that would lead to a touchdown and a commanding 34-7 lead.
