Pokes Get Big Commit
The coaching staff got some excellent news yesterday, as 4-Star Safety Kevin Henry out of Central High in Baton Rouge, LA switched his commitment from LSU to the Cowboys. It was believed that Henry had been contemplating making a switch, and this week those rumors were confirmed. Henry is ranked 258th on the ESPN300, and is the 19th overall safety. Henry held offers from LSU, Ole Miss, ULM, and LA Tech among others.
ESPN has this to say about Kevin:
Henry is an active, well-rounded safety who is productive versus both the run and pass and makes his biggest impact in zone schemes. Has a good physical tools and an aggressive demeanor that could lead to recruitment in a hybrid linebacker role if continued size is gained.
Henry is the 13th overall commit for the 2015 class, and the third safety in the class joining Kenneth McGruder and Za'Carrius Green.
Coaches Hit the Road
The off week provided an opportunity for may of the OSU coaches to attend high school games over the weekend. The prime-time match-up tomorrow evening against Texas Tech will provide a fantastic stage to showcase the program to current prospects.
