Yesterday evening, Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State coaching staff locked up a verbal commitment from three-star prospect Jalen McCleskey of St Paul's in Covington, Louisiana.
Listed as the 85th athlete, and 918th overall recruit in the entire class of 2015, by the 247Sports Composite, the small, but quick, 5'10, and 165 pound, McCleskey will suit up at wide receiver once he reaches Stillwater to play for the Cowboys.
If you follow Oklahoma State football recruiting at all, Jalen's commitment shouldn't be much of a surprise. He has been on a number of visits to campus, and earlier this summer named OSU the team to beat for his services.
Air Force, South Florida, Southern Mississippi, Tulane, and Georgia Southern, are just a few of the teams that offered, McCleskey a scholarship throughout the recruiting process.
Last season as a junior for St. Paul's, Jalen, the son of former NFL player JJ McCleskey, was named All-District after catching 43 passes for 656 yards, and six touchdowns.
