College Football Top 25 Polls - Week 3

The new Top 25 polls are out today, and three Big 12 teams made the cut in the AP Poll. Oklahoma and Baylor are both ranked inside the top 10, and showed strong performances against Tulsa and Northwestern State respectively. Falling just outside the Top 25 were Texas and Oklahoma State, waiting for their chances to jump back in.

The latest Top 25 rankings have gone live, and Oklahoma State falls short again. The Cowboys came in at 26 in the Coaches poll, and 27th in the AP.

Oklahoma leads the Big 12 after beating up a hapless Tulsa team, The Sooners rank 4th in the AP, and 3rd in the Coaches poll. They made the Golden Hurricanes look like an FCS school.

Baylor comes in at 8 in the AP Poll, and 7th in the Coaches Poll after stomping on an FCS school.

K-State is 19 in the AP and 20 in the Coaches. The Wildcats won a wild one in Ames, IA, beating the Iowa State Cyclones on a last minute touchdown run. A conference win is a conference win, but with KSU coming off a win last week, and Iowa State losing big at home to FCS opponent NDSU, most thought the margin of victory would have been greater, so that didn't help their poll positions.

Oklahoma State came up short again this week.

The Cowboys beat Missouri State of the FCS by a score of 40-23. The game was much more of a blowout than the line suggests, but the Pokes lost a little ground with the voters. If Oklahoma State takes UTSA to the wood shed this week, look for OSU to jump into the polls.
