Pokes Gone Pro: Weeden Shines; Gilbert Sees the Field in Week 4

Weeden, Randle both score for Cowboys South

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys

Week Four Result: Weeden and the Cowboys lost to the Saints (20-26) on Sunday Night Football in overtime to fall to 2-2.

Brandon Weeden (QB) - Weeden had his best statistical output of the season but the Cowboys still fell short in overtime to the New Orleans Saints. His touchdown pass near the end of regulation sent the game to overtime and gave the Cowboys a short lived breathe of life. Then defense was supposed to hold New Orleans down, but we all know there is no "D" in allas.

Joseph Randle (RB) - Joe Randle nearly fumbled on an early touchdown and seemingly found his way to coach Garrett's doghouse. He followed his three touchdown performance with an 11-carry, 26-yard, one touchdown performance in Sunday Night's loss. After halftime he only saw four carries. However, the Cowboys will likely have to depend more on Randle, especially in passing situations due to the loss of Lance Dunbar for the season.

Tyler Patmon (CB) - Patmon ended Sunday's matchup with the Saints with one assisted tackle and one pass defended. Patmon will continue to see a healthy amount of snaps at nickel corner for the Cowboys.

Dan Bailey (K) - Bailey went two-for-two and made both extra point attempts to complete a perfect night against the Saints. He brought his season total to 6-for-6 and he's a perfect 11/11 on extra points.

Week Five Opponent: New England Patriots at 3:25 P.M. central.

Cleveland Browns

Week Four Result: The Browns lost to the San Diego Chargers 30-27 in week four.

Justin Gilbert (CB) - With Pro Bowl corner Joe Haden out of Sunday's game with an injury, Gilbert saw the most time he has seen this season and finished the game with three tackles. Maybe the better news for Gilbert is he wasn't roasted by the opposing wide receivers. Maybe his performance will equate to more time going forward. He will have to show consistently in practice that he's capable of being depended on in game situations. Basically, a lot of maybes in this former first round picks life right now.

Week Five Opponent: Baltimore Ravens at 12:00 P.M. central.

Seattle Seahawks

Week 4 Result: Okung and the Seahawks won a wild game, 13-10, against the Lions on Monday Night Football to improve to 2-2 on the season.

Russell Okung (LT) - The offensive line was without star running back Marshawn Lynch. The Seahawks rushed for a total of 110 yards but starting running back Thomas Rawls only accounted for 48 yards of them. Pro Football Focus has the Seahawks offensive line ranked No. 30 out of 32 teams.

Week Five Opponent: Cincinnati Bengals, 12:00 P.M. central.

New Orleans Saints

Week Four Result: The New Orleans Saints won in overtime over the Dallas Cowboys 26-20.

Kevin Williams (DT) - Williams recorded two total tackles in the win and brings his season stat line to a respectable three total tackles and one forced fumble.

Week Five Opponent: Philadelphia Eagles, 12:00 P.M. central

Bye Week/Injury Team:

Dallas Cowboys

Dez Bryant (WR) - Dez cheered the team on from the sidelines again this week but is edging closer to a return. News broke recently that he has a serious chance to return in week seven.

Tennessee Titans

Perrish Cox (CB) - Perrish and the Titans were off this week but will return in week five against Buffalo at home.

Detroit Lions

Brandon Pettigrew (TE) - Brandon missed this weeks wild Monday Night game against the Seahawks and is listed as questionable for Sundays matchup with Arizona.
