Oklahoma State improved to 4-0 on Monday night after beating Missouri State, 74-55 in front of a crowd of 3,205 people at JQH Arena. Oklahoma State left Springfield, Missouri, with a victory, but also a couple of career high performances for some Cowgirls.
Senior Brittney Martin put in a career-high of 35 points and also had 14 rebounds, four blocks, two steals and two assists. Martin was not the only Cowgirl that shined in her performance, but her teammate Roddricka Patton also made a career high. Patton made a career and arena record of 15 assists.
Throughout the game, the Cowgirls never trailed with Missouri State until the Lady Bears came within two points with an 8-0 run to start the second half. After Missouri State had a hot start, the Cowgirls took over the third quarter with a 15-3 run to extend the lead to 16.
OSU will return to home court action on Friday night as they host Oral Roberts University at 5 p.m.
