Time to swim in the deep end of the pool.
Time to find out if the Cowboys are contenders or pretenders.
There were many conversations, some on this blog, way back when about what it might be like if both OSU and TCU made it to this point undefeated. We were convinced Game Day would show up, but we weren't smart enough to look at the rest of the schedule or we would have known that ESECPN would be hanging someplace else on November 7.
No matter, as all the Cowboys have to do is keep winning. Even a loss doesn't eliminate OSU from the Big 12 title, as TCU still has to play both OU and Baylor, and Baylor and OU still need to visit Stillwater. It's been 75 years since the Bears posted a win in Stillwater, 72 since they won a game against OSU in Oklahoma (1942 game was played in OKC). Bedlam, well, that's a crap shoot, and could very well have title and playoff implications for both teams.
As for the rest of the Big 12, big bad mighty Baylor trotted out their golden boy, five star freshman QB on Thursday night, and he handled himself quite well, at least according to Bears fans and much of the media. Funny how that worked, as Kansas State came with a score of causing all kinds of turmoil. Briles and Company are definitely not invincible.
The Ramblin' Wreck that is Texas Tech's defense goes on the road to Morgantown for a 12pm Eastern game on FS1. Should be entertaining.
The Cowboys and Horned Frogs do their dance in afternoon primetime on FOX, 3:30pm Eastern. The radio broadcast can be heard here.
Transitive properties will be on full display (or not) when Iowa State (who soundly beat Texas) visits the Sooners (who were soundly beaten by Texas) at 7pm Eastern on ESPNU.
Batting cleanup will be Kansas at Texas, which thankfully will be carried by LHN at 8pm Eastern, meaning most of us can avoid watching this even by accident.
Enjoy the game, and as always, join us in the comments. Should be a wild one at BPS.
