Oklahoma State found a way to squeak by Minnesota despite a tough week of back-to-back home losses and an off court distraction.
Oklahoma State was down by 28-30 at the end of the first half, but opened the second half with a 9-0 run. After the 9-0 run, the Cowboys led the Gophers 50-43 before the Gophers cut the lead to 53-49 with less than five minutes left in the game.
Jeffrey Carroll's performance of 12 points and a last second free throw helped the Cowboys pull off the win against Minnesota. Freshman Jawun Evans had a career night with eight points and recorded a season high eight assists. Leyton Hammonds also recorded a career high of seven rebounds and six points for the night.
This may not be the best team right now, but despite everything the team went through this past week this team found the right path on the right road, but that road doesn't have an end in sight, at least not now.
