The Cowgirls are in sunny Florida, but it was damp inside USF's basketball stadiums' court side when The Bulls handed the Cowgirls their first loss of the season, 68-46.
The Bulls led at halftime with a score of 31-21 despite poor shooting from the three-point range, but were shooting 40 percent from the field. The Bulls pulled away in the second half with a better shooting performance.
Brittney Martin led the team with 19 points, but her streak of 20-point games ended. Kaylee Jensen helped with 15 points. On the boards, OSU won the battle, beating The Bulls, 40-39, however they only shot 30 percent, proving that you actually need to score to win a game.
South Florida is 7-0 at home and their two losses came against ranked Baylor and St. Johns. The Cowgirls look to rebound and get back on track with a game against Central Florida on Tuesday.
