The Cowgirls swerved back onto the winning track after beating UCF, 74-55 inside CFE Arena. After today's win, Cowgirls improve to 9-1 so far this season.
The Cowgirls held the Knights scoring to 26 percent in the first half, but the turnover bug bit the Cowgirls with eight turnovers and they were down 14-12 in the first quarter. At the end of the first half, OSU held a slim lead, 32-29 after a seven to four run. In the second half, OSU took over the game by going on a 10-3 run at the end of the third quarter extending the lead, 53-39.
Senior Britney Martin took over the fourth quarter by scoring 10 points and scoring a game-high 27 points. Martin finished the game with six rebounds, six steals and three assits. Three Oklahoma State Cowgirls also scored double-doubles, Kaylee Jensen had 16 points, Mandy Coleman scored 12 points and Roddricka Patton scored 11 points.
Oklahoma State improved the shooting to 40 percent after shooting less than 30 percent in Sunday's ballgame. Cowgirls will finish the non-conference schedule at Gallagher-Iba Arena on Sunday against Savannah State.
