Bleacher Report

Kevin Henry has signed his national letter of intent to play football at Oklahoma State University. The Central High School (Baton Rouge, LA) star is listed as #21 Safety and is 271st on the ESPN 300. This is a huge get for Oklahoma State, going into SEC territory for the 2nd straight season, and coming out with a big time recruit (You may have heard of Mason Rudolph by now, he's kind of good and from Rock Hill, SC.) It is unclear what position Henry will play in college, as he can play CB, S, or OLB. My guess is that he will end up somewhere in the secondary during his time in Stillwater.

Henry is 6'1", 217 lbs and has a good mix of size, speed and overall range in the defensive backfield. Henry is also very aggressive in run support, and gets downhill quickly. He can also cover well for his size, showing all the necessary characteristics to be able to perform at the next level. His measurables are strong for a high school senior, and stack up well at the next level. Henry could work on using his size more, especially in tackling. It will be interesting to see how coaches Gundy and Spencer utilize those Kevin's skills moving forward.

In terms of other offers, Henry was well sought after, drawing interest from Oklahoma State and LSU most notably. Henry also had offers from Texas A&M, Ole Miss, UL Monroe, Lousiana Tech, and Southern University. Henry was an all-district player as a senior, and issued a verbal commitment to Oklahoma State on 9/23/14. He arrives along with 3 other safeties in the class, Za'Carrius Green, Kenneth McGruder, and Bryce Balous, but has the highest recruiting ranking among the 3.
