I'm at Big 12 Media Days and seeing as there are no OSU or even OU players or coaches available until tomorrow, I thought it would be fun to talk to someone who used to call Stillwater home, Dana Holgorsen.
Holgorsen was sitting at the table, drinking a sugar-free Redbull of course, answering every question with that flare that has made so many love him. The first question from a TV reporter, how many Redbulls will he drink between now and the end of the season.
"So we're talking around 185 days," Holgorsen said. "I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,000."
That's a lot of Redbull, coach. He also mentioned how last time he was in Stillwater, he pregamed at Eskimo Joes. I got to ask him one extremely hard-hitting question, and I'm very proud of it.
Dana Holgorsen on if he would ever describe beating someone as "borderline erotic" like Arkansas coach Brett Bielema did last week at SEC Media Days when talking about beating Texas:
"I thought our victory over Iowa State was exciting," Holgorsen said. "But we don't red letter anybody. Winning at Maryland was good, winning at Texas was good, winning at Oklahoma State was good, beating Baylor at home was good. It's hard to win, so I don't care who you're playing. You win, you better get excited about it."
I hope he wasn't talking about the same kind of excited as Bielema.
