Which Colleges Have Sent the Most Players to the NFL?
Stumbled onto this thanks to r/CFB and clicked the link without even thinking that Oklahoma State would make the list. But you get near the bottom of the list and see Oklahoma State in the 48th spot out of 50 with 172 Pokes that have gone to play in the NFL. What is kind of interesting is that since Mike Gundy took over the reigns of the program he has sent 33 Cowboys to the league. The success of those players have been scattered all over the spectrum but nonetheless, Gundy has consistently since his guys to the next level. Over the last 10 years, OkState ranked in the top 25 in terms of sending players to the NFL. Notre Dame topped the list with 543. OU leads the Big 12 in 7th place with 337 but if the Big 12 was the way that it's supposed to be then Nebraska would be leading the conference as the Huskers are in 6th with 12 more players than OU. I think this speaks volumes to the emergence of Oklahoma State as a powerhouse, especially over the last 10-15 years.
