Why OSU Will Beat Central Arkansas

Why am I even writing this?

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

I took a lot of flack on my piece last week about why the Pokes would beat Central Michigan for calling that game a "big game" because of that atmosphere. BOY WAS I WRONG. The stadium was partially empty on a rainy night and the game was boring and vanilla.

I've been thinking for four days now on what the hell I was going to put in this article and I have come to a decision.

WHY OKLAHOMA STATE WILL BEAT CENTRAL ARKANSAS: UCA IS A TERRIBLE FOOTBALL TEAM

That's the end of this week's article see you all next week.

Kidding. But I am going to put a twist on this week's post. Instead of telling you "why" I am going to tell you "how" OkState is going to beat the Bears of Central Arkansas.

HOW #1: LOTS OF TOUCHDOWNS

Get used to this:

Mason Rudolph is going to go nuts on Saturday - except probably not. I should have said that Mason Rudolph should go nuts on Saturday night but I doubt he will with Yurcich calling the plays. Don't expect Yurcich to open up the playbook and maybe we shouldn't be upset about that since we expect it. Rudolph will be out of the game by the 3rd quarter as Gundy and company will make sure other QBs get playing time.

Chris Carson should have a nice game against a weak Bears defense. Don't be surprised when Carson runs for two or three scores in a couple of days.

HOW #2: LOTS OF PUNT RETURNS

I was trying to think of a clever way to say that the defense will play great and this was it. I will be shocked if UCA doesn't punt double-digit times which will be great for Jalen McCleskey, the freshman punt returner.

I thought the defense played great against Central Michigan and will do even better this weekend. If UCA scores more than 7 points then Pokes fans should be upset.

I won't lie, I wish that I had more to write but there simply isn't anything else to say. The Pokes are just the better team, at home in their home opener and should win by 60 points.

Tune in next time and I'll tell you why OkState will beat UTSA and I'll actually provide a few reasons next time.
