OSU Offers Scholarship to 2017 Recruit

Coach Gundy and the OSU staff have offered a scholarship to 2017 4-Star QB prospect Tate Martell out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Martell announced the news on Twitter Saturday.

The 5-11 190 pound junior at Bishop Gorman High School is ranked 32nd on the ESPN300 for the 2017 class (2nd Pocket-Passing QB), and is currently committed to Texas A&M. Tate also holds offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Michigan, Texas Tech, UNLV, USC, Utah and Washington according to Rivals.

Here is ESPN's evaluation of Tate

Martell has everything you want in a quarterback, but the size. He possesses toughness and is savvy enough to excel in a variety of offenses at the next level. Although not a burner, he is athletic enough to extend plays and move the chains. We like his moxie.
