Oklahoma State picked up a commitment today from a three-star safety out of Lubbock, TX. Ty Thomas also held offers from East Carolina, Washington State and his home town team Texas Tech.
In his junior season at Lubbock Cooper High School, Thomas racked up 46 tackles, three tackles for loss and two interceptions, helping lead the Pirates to their first District 4-5A title. The 5'10" 195 pound safety was committed to Washington State but reopened his recruiting in December.
Thomas' father, Bart, played safety at Texas Tech who offered Ty a scholarship in October according to 247 sports.
