After months of articles, deliberations, debates, teases, and taunts, the Big 12 Board Members came come together to meet on expansion and announced.... nothing. According to Pete Thamel of Sports Illustrated, the league has decided to stand pat, and focus on getting more money from FOX and ESPN.
While we are still waiting on Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby’s press conference to make it official, it seem that the expansion debate is dead still dragging on for the unforeseeable future. Twitter reacted accordingly to the (lack of) news on the issue.

While some chose to be funny, others chose to go all “Nostradomus” and predict the league’s demise.
The ultimate Big 12 runaround. Might make sense for now but league likely has signed its own death warrant. https://t.co/SgCpvu0iTW

If nothing else, the lack of an actual decision by the Big 12 means we get to continue to enjoy the creativity of sports fans as they troll the league on social media.
