OSU baseball released the 2017 schedule this afternoon, and the Cowboys have another home run! Since taking over the program, Coach Josh Holliday has made a habit of building strong schedules. This year is no different:
The schedule includes a trip to the inaugural Frisco College Baseball Classic at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas where OSU will face Nebraska, Arizona, and Arkansas. The Cornhuskers and Wildcats made the NCAA tournament last year, with ‘Zona finishing as National Runner-Ups in the World Series after knocking out OSU.
Other tourney teams on the non-conference portion of the schedule include a home-and-home with Oral Roberts, one game at Arizona State, and a two-game home series with New Mexico.
Other notable dates, include a season opening three-game series at Grand Canyon. OSU will face OU to close out the regular series, with game one in Tulsa on May 18th and games two & three in OKC on May 19th and 20th.
You can find the full schedule here.
I know it’s months away, but I’m already excited for year five of Josh Holliday at the helm of OSU baseball!
